Native Quest is a Native American Cultural Center serving local and urban Native Americans, as well as non-Native Americans by providing a friendly environment to investigate and experience Native American Cultures. In addition, we provide:
We are open to the general public and located conveniently near the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. We welcome you to stop by and take a tour, grab something to drink or eat and join one of our events or just wander around the building to see everything we have to offer.
Native Quest is a Non-Profit organization, and as such is reliant on the support of our patrons and donors who donate not only funding, but their personal time.
While we don't have room on this page to list all of our volunteers, we can list our best contributors. They include:
The Talking Circles are becoming very popular, with good reports from all involved. If you haven't stopped by and experienced one, you might want to add it to your list of things to do. Current Circle Topics include: Healing, Flutes, Singles, and Women's and Family Issues. Contact the front desk for information and schedules.
Do you know someone who needs a computer but can't afford one? Our technology manager and volunteer Bob is working with A+ Computer Rebuilders in Olympia, WA to provide desktop computer system for themselves or someone that is deserving for a donation of $120.00! These systems are great, come with plenty of cool software, are able to get on the Internet, and can stream video. In fact, we're building our computer lab and outfitting our staff with these computers too. We are also collecting old computer systems that need to be recycled safely and properly. Contact him at the store for details.
Currently Native Quest is an ALL VOLUNTEER Organization. In order to provide better services, hire a few workers to help keep our doors open for longer hours, generally improve the Center, and not to mention keep the rent paid on this beautiful building, we rely on grants and donations from people like you and organizations like yours.
Whether you bring your donations in to the center, mail a check in, click the link below to make a donation online, arrange for a grant, or contact our endowment coordinator for a trust or other endowment, you can be assured that they are all very much appreicated by not only the staff, but by our visitors and customers.
The button below will take you to PayPal where you can make any size donation that you wish. You don't even need to have a PayPal account, just read the screen carefully and select the appropriate links for how you want to pay.
Most of the work done at Native Quest is performed by volunteers, people like you with hearts and smiles a mile wide, the ability to get along with others, to do what they say they will do and be where they say they will be on time and ready to dive into whatever project they choose.
